A BIT OF A SLOW MONTH (EPISODE-WISE THAT IS)

First off, I want to talk about one of the two biggest reasons as to why I haven’t recorded as many episodes as I would like:

my new 9-5 job.

I started ON No Internal Monologue’s third birthday, March 12th, 2024. I’ve talked about it before, but I work at a care center in activities. That’s all of the identifying info I’ll share with you, as I don’t want to subject anyone from the care center to attention that they don’t consent to. I’m the one that signed up to be a content creator and an Internet personality, not them, especially the residents that live there.

It would tear me apart inside if the vulnerable residents were to be subjected to a community that they don’t have a good grasp on without their consent, due to the fact that the internet isn’t something they’re 100% used to like millennials and gen z people are used to. It would especially tear me apart inside if they were negatively subjected to a community that they don’t have a good grasp on without their consent and I had a hand in it and could’ve prevented it.

I want to put No Internal Monologue to the side while I’m there….

….as I would much rather focus on my training, focus on the residents and being a supportive, reliable friend for them, and being the best light to them that I can be. Once everything gets a little less hectic, I’ll be able to prep and post more and more episodes of the podcast. I just have to give myself time and space to do so. It won’t be too long now!

The other reason?

Soooooo over the last month, I’ve posted two longer episodes of the podcast, both with good friends of mine who are doing big, big things!! I’m so proud of both of those more recent episodes, and you should definitely check them out on all streaming platforms and YouTube! With that, one of the things I’ve learned and wanted to incorporate more in the way I do content is appreciating quality over quantity, so I’m trying not to be so hard on myself for not posting a new episode every single week for any circumstance standing in my way. Of course, I want to get better at posting more frequently, but I need to make sure I meet that goal naturally and in the time-frame that’s going to work best for me, my schedule, my mental health, etc.

What I HAVE been doing every week/day is posting to Instagram and TikTok!

I’ve actually been creating graphics and fun Tiktok videos that I can be consistently proud of and feel authentically me! It feels really good to see my growth in overall content creation, but more specifically video editing and graphic designing throughout my feeds!! I’ll include some pics of my graphic work throughout this post! Some of the graphic content you’ll see from me maaaaaayy turn into future merch pieces on the website, but we’ll see how it’s received by my audience and see where it goes!

On top of this, speaking of TikTok, I’ve been trying to start a new trend of sharing my goals for the month and reflecting on whether I achieved my previous months’ goals or not. I started right after No Internal Monologue’s birthday last month, and I’m excited to continue it! I want to start with smaller but achievable goals to test the waters and see if they’re all actually met within a month. So far, it’s been pretty successful! In March, I met my goal of hitting 800 followers on Instagram….

I hit 10k+ on a TikTok video (which is INSANE to think about)

….and I reached over 11K likes on my TikTok page! Thank you thank you THANK YOU all for helping me make those goals more accomplishments!! With this in mind, you should follow my TikTok and check out my April content creator goals that I posted a few days ago!! Maybe we can meet those goals together!

With that, I’m going to leave you all with this. Like I said, I’m prepping guest appearances and topics as we speak, so I’m going to be putting out fairly consistently uploaded podcast episodes very soon! I am already in the process of planning an interview with a musical group that a TON of you will be ecstatic for, so there’s your sneak peek of all of the things I have in store for you all!

I cannot wait to bring more and more authentic, interesting, creative souls on the show, and I cannot wait to keep making the content that I am extremely proud of every single day!

I hope you all have a great rest of your weekends, and I hope this post inspires you to not be so hard on yourself, to be a light to those around you, and to be a little creative in your everyday life! Toodaloo, buckaroos! <3
